There’s a lot of talk about anniversaries, centenaries, maybe even bicentennials. Well its 30 years since the Miners Strike began. So here’s to all the miners and their families. To the pit villages, now ghost towns. To the industry, that is no more. And here’s to the communities, rent asunder. Raise a glass to those hard working people; raise a glass and remember.
