So Come On

Hot city and storms in summer.
Sitting in the garden, slipping on a staircase
hardly seems to be
a surface that is not wet.

But hey, drinking out here today.
Saying whatever’s to say.
Taking down the world
with a glass of red wine.

And you know,
what it’s like to be high.
To raise you’re head with style.
To walk that wooden path to god.

So come-on, hear it go on and on.
Make it out tonight with me.
Sitting on a damp chair
with hardly a care.

Don’t you know,
In the morning they’re predicting sun,
and this water will be done and gone.
Dried away; hey, hey hey.

So come-on, hear it go on and on.
Make it out tonight with me.
Sitting on a damp chair
with hardly a care.
